What You'll Learn
DAY 1 — October 26: Record Like a Pro
Microphone placement, recording levels, room considerations, preventing problems, and handling retakes with markers, clickers, silence, or punch-and-roll.
Goal: Record cleaner chapters that need less editing.
DAY 2 — October 27: Edit & Clean Like a Ninja
Remove mistakes efficiently. Use iZotope RX 12 to tackle mouth clicks, excessive breaths, background noise, sibilance, pops, and plosives.
Goal: Reduce tedious manual cleanup.
DAY 3 — November 2: Process Like a Pro
Normalization, EQ, compression, peak, RMS, noise floor, and how to check ACX technical requirements.
Goal: Stop guessing about processing settings.
DAY 4 — November 3: Complete Production Workflow
See a chapter move from raw recording through editing, cleanup, processing, quality checks, and export.
Goal: Build a workflow you can practice and repeat.
Use Your Preferred DAW
This workshop is software-agnostic. The principles apply to Audacity, Adobe Audition, Reaper, Pro Tools, TwistedWave, and other audio editors.
IMPORTANT: iZotope RX 12 is a core tool in this workshop. You must be willing to use it.
If you have no intention of using RX 12, this workshop isn't for you.
RX 12 can simplify many repetitive cleanup and processing tasks.
